Worst Idea EVER For some odd reason, I'm adding (at least) two new posters to the blog. Why? Because I'm too lazy to post regularly in the first place, and these guys need an outlet for their.... umm... whatever it is they do. So, without further ado, meet fellow Akronians mattho and smack: mattho: Hi, I constantly have erotic dreams about Chuck Norris and Vin Diesel. smack: I like to pee my pants. A LOT. God help us all. Glue-o-rama I'm going to help some high schoolers build popsicle stick bridges soon. You know, to teach engineering principles and stuff. Popsicle sticks are surprisingly hard to glue together. Well, at least QUICKLY. Wood glues have a long set time, and I want it to have a reasonably strong bond in five minutes or so. All those "krazy" type cyanoacrylate glues don't seem to hold at all. I tried three of them. I guess there's a special "wood" krazy super insane glue, but I can't seem to find it. Surprisingly, simple craft glue sticks almost seem to work. I think I'm going to push for hot glue, though. It works well enough, although I think I have to convince people that it's not a really really bad idea to give really hot dangerous stuff to high schoolers. And now you know stuff about glue. No Christmas for YOU Even though I bought Christmas cards and made a mailing list, I guess it has become exceedingly obvious that I'm not going to get around to mailing Christmas cards this year. Maybe I'll send July 4th cards instead... Posted at 08:03:42 PM EST by copus
Death by Sandwich What is it about this part of the country and putting multiple courses of a meal in a sandwich? Every restaurant from Akron to Pittsburg seems to like putting cole slaw and/or french fries (and maybe even an egg) into their signature oversized sandwich. I was at a place called Legends (which sounds like a strip club, I know) visiting uber-awesome David, and they served one of these monstrosities. I guess the real problem is that I keep ordering them whenever they are offered on the menu....and that, my friends, is the real reason they offer such foods... Posted at 09:28:49 PM EST by copus
A Sequel! Brian pointed out another really strange title in this series:
He said this one is a lot creepier the one I read. ....Man, I hate that guy.... Posted at 06:45:57 AM EST by copus
Required Reading I've started reading some books again, but this one book I've been reading is kind of strange:
I hear there's a surprise ending involving a Meijer grocery store... Posted at 09:32:25 PM EST by copus
Movie Madness I seem to be a couple of years behind on my movie watching. Some of the movies I've watched for the first time in the last few days: --The Day After Tomorrow --Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World --Dawn of the Dead (2004 version... I had the original almost commited to memory at some point in high school) --The Bourne Supremacy (actually haven't watched it yet... it's on my Tivo, though) In other news, Baker had this suggestion for my website: maybe your website could include an advice section where people bitch about their problems and you come up with brilliant solutions. example- Dear James, my ho' gets all uncomftable when i jams my pinkie in her stinkie. i just don' get why she don' like the freak when my shocka is da bomb. can you help? Prince Charles So, if any of you need sage advice from a wise... umm... guy, ask away! Posted at 09:12:16 PM EST by copus
Coca-Coffee So, uh, Coca Cola has decided that "fusing" coffee and cola in a new product is a good idea. I am actually curious. Well, not that curious. Anyway, I'll be in St. Louis for the week, so, uh, stop by and visit. Or call me. Or something. Posted at 09:44:22 PM EST by copus
Celebration? I'd like to celebrate the one month anniversary of anyone posting comments on my blog. Coincidentally, I'd like the celebrate the one month anniversary of me posting anything interesting on my blog. Posted at 06:52:14 AM EST by copus
Tool I think this will be a 60+ hour work week. I might even log some of those hours if I could remember the passwords to access my timecard. All so I can enjoy the sites and sounds of a hotel room in St. Louis all next week. Yay. Posted at 09:02:03 PM EST by copus
Mahna Mahna So, watching all of this Dr. Pepper sponsored football this weekend has gotten that "Mahna Mahna" song stuck in my head. You can see the quirky commercial here. I kept thinking... isn't that from The Muppet Show? Yup, it is. I guess I know what all my dreams tonight will be based on. You know, BESIDES being attacked by giant donuts.
