Spicy Children So, I read this article on baby food myths, and it suggests that parents start feeding babies spicy foods as early as possible. As an engineer, I've come up with a more efficient way to introduce spicy foods to children: ![]() Posted at 09:37:16 PM EST by copus Akron Day There isn't an Akron Day... yet. On Dirty Stories, Cabinet Postings, and Dead Smurfs Elena told me that I should probably use my blog to tell all my secret dirty stories that shouldn't really be on public record. Especially on a site with my last name on it. I guess it would be more tempting if I had more dirty stories. (I mean, there *was* that threesome the other night...) So, I think I found the key to career success. It's not what I know. It's not who I know. It's who I give thousands of dollars to. Also, I think that there is too much violence in the world. Too many wars, death, and destruction. We shouldn't portray that on television anymore. We should kill Smurfs instead. Posted at 06:41:47 PM EST by copus
Navajo Fry Bread A quick note on Navajo fry bread. It should not be the consistency of a deep-fried biscuit, at least not from what I remember. Somehow I screwed something up. Better luck next time.... maybe I'll use one of the recipes I linked to instead of one I found in a Reader's Digest. Posted at 08:34:10 PM EST by copus
It's a white TORNADO! I just saw C. Everett Koop hawking medical supplies on cable. How original. But occasionally you find something that is a truly creative solution to a problem, such as Artificial Tornadoes. If it's not environmentally insane, it sounds like a great idea. P.S. I need to grow a "Koop Beard..." oh, that's what the AMISH wear. Posted at 08:55:49 PM EST by copus
Random Topic To Fill Space Am I the only one who thinks Pamela Anderson isn't all that hot? I mean, right now I'd go for Raggedy Ann (sorry, Andy), but really... Pamela Anderson is a freak of plastic surgery! Talk amongst yourselves... Posted at 10:13:42 PM EST by copus
Link and a Warning So, I found out that a large percentage of the email going to me is being bounced back because of my own email server. It turns out that some of the Ohio State mail servers are blacklisted by my service provider, meaning that random emails sent to me at my OSU address get rejected because they're coming from OSU servers to my service provider. If you don't understand that, then all you have to know is that you should blame this guy for the problem. See? He even looks sad about it. Anyway, it turns out that a friend of a friend of mine has started another comic, Malfunction Junction. It's good, and if you know the OSU campus area and culture, it's FREAKIN' HILARIOUS. Gimpy James So, somehow I messed up my knee this weekend. I blame all that standing and sitting in a non-student section of Ohio Stadium. The students have it right: just stand the whole time. Much better on my knees. It feels strange enough that I'll probably see a doctor this week. Hopefully he won't amputate. On a non-whiny note, here's another great quote regarding Hurricane Katrina: –Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska), Sept. 6, 2005 Twice the size of Europe??? Geography is hard. Shoester Bigglesworth Brett thought that my cat's fur was a little patchy... so I thought I'd even things out a bit: ![]() As for my face, I've had a rough month. Posted at 09:35:12 PM EST by copus Canadian Cops Commit Crime? Wow, and I thought Canadians were reasonable people. Edmonton Police targeted a local journalist who criticized the use of red light and speed cameras. And by "targeted," they used restricted databases to try and find dirt on him, then tried to run a sting operation to get him on drunk driving charges. Wow. Posted at 08:46:45 PM EST by copus
Inherent Beauty I was going to make some snide comment about the Browns winning and this being one of the few times I could say that.... but, instead, I will post this image that absolutely made my day: Touched by his Noodly Appendage For information on the religion of the future, see Flying Spaghetti Monsterism... ahh... logic is fun.
