Federal Loans hate me So, this is the one year anniversary of the beginning of my repayment of my student loans. I know this because I got a letter in the mail informing me that they were rescinding my rate reduction because I didn't pay on time the last twelve months. This surprised me, since I have AUTOMATIC DIRECT BILLING set up. That's right, THEY DETERMINE WHEN THEY TAKE MONEY FROM ME. And it wasn't done right. Which is my fault. Even better, they screwed up initially, and I thought we resolved the problem. In fact, there's a little message in my account that tells them that they messed up initially. However, the master direct loan computer doesn't read those little messages written by the call center people. And, of course, the call center people aren't willing to do anything to help me. It's even a REAL school! Since I spent 11 hours today in a class, I decided to make sure that this class was even a real school. Yay for that. At least they have strong character... they didn't allow women in until 1971. One thing this class reminded me of is that I once did things that seemed vaguely intelligent. (Well, except for the fact that I'm taking a class at work, and the students in the class convinced the teacher to make the class from 7:30am to 6:30pm, or even later, every day. Poor Shirtless Neighbors I now have neighbors again.... I am not sure how I feel about this. I guess this lowers the chance of a squatter moving in next door. Although I have noticed that I have yet to see any of the guys hanging out there actually wearing a shirt. Well, at least it's warm. Maybe I can loan them some of mine when it gets colder. On another note, I think that Bruce Campbell is the patron saint of all B Movies on the Sci-Fi Channel. Hmmm.... on a second look, maybe he's also the patron saint of Oxygen. Stupid Civic Drivers It's almost 2am. I'm driving on the highway, passing some slower car before three lanes merge into one. The guy speeds up so I can't pass him... staring at me like he wants to race. Now I know FOR A FACT that a highway patrolman is sitting right past where the lanes merge.
