Say it aint so! I'm working on a three year summary of popular and bizarre search terms used to find this web domain. But rather than taking the time to do that properly, or remodel my bathroom in a timely manner, I took a personality test that determined I most closely matched this famous leader: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thievery I searched for a fitting tribute to America's second greatest unelected leader, but Andrew summarized him best, "Saying he couldn't live in a world without James Brown, Gerald Ford hangs it up. Link to this article Posted at 11:02:44 AM EST by copus
A Costa Rican Christmas I've enjoyed reading Jay's Costa Rican travel journal. He actually uses complete sentences, give details, and makes sense in his, unlike the journal I kept. Anyway, his experience so far in Manuel Antonio brought back a lot of memories, especially having to ford a river to get out. I remember a guy in a rowboat charging people to get "a ride" from him. When it was low, that involved using his boat as a bridge across the 8 foot wide trickle. That's capitalism at its best. Link to this article Posted at 06:59:37 AM EST by copus
Second verse.... different than the first. I bet you didn't know that the Buckeye Battle Cry had another verse.... I also bet that you didn't know that it could also sound so vaudeville... A dollar a day I found a link to a blog about trying to live for a month on a dollar a day. This brought be back to the nostalgia of my diet back in college. After I moved out of the dorms, I used to be able to eat on slightly more than a dollar a day. Except for my ravenous Mountain Dew consumption (looking back on it, that much sugar and caffeine in my diet probably caused some permanent damage). Unlike this guy, I spent a lot of time going to events with free food. I would go to job information sessions, campus organization and club meetings (no, I was not necessarily a member of these clubs), things like that. I made a lot of macaroni and cheese (with some tuna for flavor) and the occasional ramen noodles. I bought tons of frozen dinners, but only when I could get them for under a dollar. And I also ate a ton of frozen burritos, because I could get at least five meals out of them for under three dollars. I had a roommate one summer that got a huge kick out of my terrible diet, and he brings it up whenever we happen to see each other. Anyway, the guy who did this dollar a day thing made lots of instant mashed potatos mixed with rice. He compared it to edible Elmers Paste. *I* would have had three cans of Mountain Dew with which to wash it down. Link to this article Posted at 07:16:22 PM EST by copus
The State Lives Finally, the first season of The State has been released. Oh, not on DVD, that would be convenient. On iTunes. I'm not even sure if I want to buy something I can only watch on my laptop, and can't burn to a DVD to play on my TV. What a crock. Of course, I'm sure I'll still buy it, anyway. :-) Link to this article Posted at 05:41:58 PM EST by copus

Meteoric Fall If you can get out of the cities tonight or tomorrow night, go watch the Geminid meteor shower. I plan to, assuming I can get out of work at a decent time tomorrow. Link to this article Posted at 10:24:16 PM EST by copus
Soy una soja Hmmm... over 80 percent of the searches that find this website this month are for The Last Supper. Ali is certainly putting people in the spirit of the season.... of Easter? In other news, Eating soy turns you gay. But apparently soy SAUCE is fine. Because it's fermented and stuff, changing the molecular structure of all that estrogen. The question that begs to be asked is: does soy make women straighter? Link to this article Posted at 08:27:19 PM EST by copus

Its beginning to look a lot like high heating bills I've got a long, rambling, angry rant about Nationwide Insurance in my current posting queue, but I want to make sure the story is finally over before I get too riled up about it. Instead, I'll try to emanate happy thoughts. Here, look at my Christmas lights:
